Shadow Of Doom

Shadow Of Doom

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Your wings shadow over me
I kneel to your doom
There's nothing else to do
I can smell your fumes,
A raging fire within
That you breathe
Consuming my breath
As I attempt to breathe in,
Every twist and turn
You appear before me
So I go below
Where I think I'm safe to go,
Yet you follow again
Why can't you find another
To consume their life
Why am I the one you want to bother.

Thank you Valerie
I can be weird at times, so with that in mind...This speaks to me from a dark place inside the heart. Wanting to love, regretting I did, and just when I think I don't want to ever again....

This is dark and wonderful. The shadows of sin or death or even danger can always follow us and haunt us within and without...Thank you for sharing...:)

You are welcome...:)
Vivid imagery, felt as though I was suffocating. Well done.

Thank you so much
There's a dense feeling to this, like thick smoke trying to consume you and take your last breath...some relationships can feel as such. I think you need an escape route my friend.
