A Breath Of Fresh Air

A Breath Of Fresh Air

A Poem by Tarry Franck

You wandered into my life
Make no mistake
You have shared
So much joy and laughter
A breath of fresh air
When I thought
I was drowning in despair,
You threw light into
My window of darkness
And I greatly appreciate it
You showed me a world of honesty
In a world of guilt
I love you more than words can describe
But felt the need to transcribe,
I pray you never leave me
Because when my wings were tangled
You set them free.

Thank you Starrleena
This is a refreshing expression of joy and appreciation for what most take for granted...if they notice at all. And then, "I pray you never leave me" ...Who puts their heart out there in Vulnerabilityland anymore? The rare and special, that's who!

Once more, a shoot'n score!

A well-crafted poem. And I mean well-crafted. The rhythm in this piece works well with the honest emotions and thoughts being conveyed.
"You threw light into
