Life Of Despair

Life Of Despair

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The darkest of nights
I roam
Looking for a love
I can call home,
I search deep
But I fall to the ground
And just weep,
Is there a love out there
For only me
Do I keep searching
Do I dare
Or should I tear these wings
And live a lonely life
Of despair.

Sometime we must leave the sadness behind. Allow our wings to spread wide and challenge life and a new day. I enjoyed the poem. I like poetry that ask questions. You did. Better to be free like a butterfly than lost and forgotten. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

It's been said that love comes when we stop searching for it. Perhaps.
But we'll never stop writing about it.

If i may be a bit of a pig, i Love the pain, it is as sweet as wine and your words made it flow like a red wine.

This poem I totally feel, I sometimes feel this despair and pain, wanting love so badly but never able to quite find it. I still hope to have the love that makes me smile someday, though. A very emotional pull to this one, well done.

Thank you and I do wish you the best.
Nicely written. I could relate to this. This is how I felt when my marriage ended.

Thank you and sorry for your loss of your marriage.
Such a sigh of loneliness on this page, written with such finesse, despair is the ultimate soul slayer, nicely pen'd my friend.

No problemo, just nice to see you again my friend.....
loneliness is a tough place to be, and can be debilitating . best to stretch out your wings and take flight to other venues when the nest has been deserted. wonderfully penned, Tarry.

A simple but a powerful poem full of great contemplation on love and asks great questions on its matters of despair...Well done...:)

You are welcome...:)..............
The eternal question... Is there a "perfect" love out there? One that is meant just for us? Or, do we find the best that we can and attempt to shape it (and ourselves) into a new definition of perfection? Living a lonely life is terrible, and sometimes we can be lonely even when there are a hundred other people in the room, or just one other person. Lonliness really comes from within, I think. This was carefully crafted, and it shows in the emotional boundaries of the piece. Well written and completely relatable.

Thank you so much my dear friend.
The life of despair is one of the hardest ones to live... Thats why choosing another path is the best option we have... No matter what our hearts tell us to do walking away from the dark path and finding the one that makes us giggle with joy is what everyone needs to do.... Despair is not the answer.... Find trust in ones around and hold on to that.. Let the bad blood out and let the good in... Turn on the light and follow it let your heart lead you but also hold the hands of the ones who will hold you up... love comes in better forms when we are no longer looking for it.. It has to come to us its the best way to handle love dont go looking for it.. the path will form on its own ... This is a great peice and it is amazing
