Eternal Connection

Eternal Connection

A Poem by Tarry Franck

You're a beauty queen, my light
That makes my smile come to life
You are the sunshine that lights my day
And the moon that lights my night
You are my heart, my smile,
My soul, my breath
My wisdom, my strength
My life, my death,
My eternity, my rebirth
I live and die for you
I reawaken for you as well
So I do not have to live
A life of hell.

Much of the words in this poem are synonymous with passion, and characteristic of gothic imagery. This is nice, it flows softly, and indeed is incredibly romantic. I love your use of natural imagery, indeed the moon is the most beautiful, powerful light of all! Next time I would like to see some experimenting with language, maybe some abstract words, to make this shine even more. :) Nice write you two

A tender sentiment here...undying love. It is beautiful when we find someone who is willing to lay themselves at our feet if ever the need arises. I imagine that this is the way love is supposed to be. You have penned the emotions in this one beautifully, and it really moved me in the reading.

Technical: The only thing I would suggest to punch this up a notch would be some more tangible imagery. Instead of, for instance, saying "you are the sunshine that lights my day", you could describe that sunshine "you are the sun's light raining upon me" or "my day is set aglow with your sunlight smile", something like that. Otherwise, nicely done.

Thank you very much for reviewing this poem.
Sounds passionately holistic, personal, and eternal.
A strong sense of soul-mate emotion.
I like it.

EDIT: After writing this, I realized once more what the title was.
Excuse the redundancy. Anyhow, I suppose if anything it solidifies your title. =P
