Sit For A Spell

Sit For A Spell

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I twist, I turn
Can't open
A key trying to get through the door
And I fall
Yet silent to the floor,
Have I been locked out
Yet again
While an errand
Me you send,
You not only locked me out
But my love as well
Where do I go from here
To sit for a spell.

Neat and quick lines detail significant moments well. Locked out of the house symbolising being locked out of love is a great parallel, try your key somewhere else!

Thank you very much leigh and I have. This one is a keeper! :)
Sometime all we can do is to sit a spell. Figure how to get up and go forward. Nice flow of thoughts led to a very good ending. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Thank you Coyote
Cast away & deserted speaks in generous terms in this one Tarry...succinct and you nailed it!

Thank you
This felt oddly surreal to me...as though I fell down the rabbit hole and then someone wrote me a love poem. I quite liked the feeling :)

This feeling of being suddenly abandoned or not needed was captured well in this night cricket themed scene. Enjoyed the bit of creative expression. Keep writing.

Damn that meaning is so clear yet you don't come out and say it. If that makes sense. I relate almost more with the way my mom used to treat me to this then to how a girlfriend ever treated me. But I still feel what your saying here, man.
