A Poem by Tarry Franck

Within the storm
My head held high
Lightning striking all around
Rain begins to pour
I spread my wings
And begin to soar,
The roar of the thunder
My wings beating
Feeling the power
That has been unleashed,
Feeling what Mother Nature can surely cure
And I am at her will
And will glide through
To rid the sadness I feel...

You see, I have two options
I can tuck my wings away
And stay grounded
Or I can fly within her graces
And allow myself to feel her embraces,
I choose to fly within
And capture what she has to give
For if I don't
There is no will to live.

I liked the feel of this one; the way that you have set up a fork in the road of sorts. You can either hide away and stay afraid or in pain, or you can rise above and become the person that you are meant to be. The imagery of the storm and the wings is quite beautiful, because flight is true freedom.

A little technical issue...I could see this broken into two stanzas. You set up the beginning so beautifully, and then you start with the conclusion section that begins with the line "You see, i have two options". That is where I think you can break it. Other than that...nicely done.

In my eyes you are everything i need :)
I like the way you led the reader to the very good ending. Some decisions must be decided to survive life and to give us reasons to be alive. No weakness in the excellent poem.
