I Want My Life

I Want My Life

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Rain cleanse me
Thunder beat my heart
Lightning strike my soul
I awaited this moment for years
Wash away these dreadful tears,
Recharge my life
With your rain
Your thunder
Your lightning
So that I may regain
What I have refrained,
I want to dance in the darkness
Under the stars
Bathe in the sun
Beneath the blue sky
I want so much more
I want a life
That I can endure.

A powerful poem. I could feel the desire to reach out for hope and chance. I like the use of nature to make your point. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

I loved the focus on the healing power of nature. I imagined a person standing in the rain arms up in the air just releasing all their problems. This was wonderfully written.
