True Colors

True Colors

A Poem by Tarry Franck

You walked into my world
A guardian I thought you were
But it didn't take long
For the beatings to show,
You took advantage of my weakness
And I returned to your arms
For what, nothing but more harm
Verbal and physical
You shared both
But I have learned and I'm finally warned,
To stay far away from you
Even though it was not soon enough
I've dealt with what you are capable of
And I'm finally done with your colors of truth.

The true colors have surely been shown you are the strongest woman that I myself have the pleasure of knowing and being able to love you is an true gift that anyone would love to have your love... This is a powerful story told by the power of words You allowed others to see what you have gone though with the words on this page....True colors can be dangerous like you and i both know... This is another spectacular piece... YOU ARE A STRONG woman you do not need that struggle in your life cause it will just take you down with them So i am saying this as i have and probably will say it for months to come I am so proud of you for walking away from
this issue.. And always remember you have a huge amount of support from me!! Great job

Life failures and stability will always defend in our decision, better end while we have still life to re-create the broken pieces. Great work.

Thank you dear Holly
You ease into the idea of deceit and betrayal gracefully, inviting us with the word "thought", as an immediate indication of something otherwise. I would have liked to have read on, this definitely has potential to be longer! Your closing line is fantastic, vivid.. I would have liked to see more detail throughout to bring those colour into your piece and illuminate your experience.. Well done though, I hope you stick to your guns on keeping away from him!
