Lost Lover

Lost Lover

A Poem by Tarry Franck

My lover, my friend
Why can't I find you
Where have you been,
I'm lost without you by my side
I'm sad, frightened for my life,
You gave me comfort
Now you are gone
How in my life
Am I supposed to carry on,
You were a good person to me
With some bad traits
But aren't we all full of aint's,
I've lost u
I've lost a lot
But I will refrain
From losing myself
Again and Again.

when we lose ourselves in a another soul, we become so immersed within that passion and obsession that we literally cast fate to the wind and find our own awareness of self dwindling...until we have no identity, save the identity we feel vicariously through the object of our affection. it is an affliction, yet a blessing to know this kind of love. it is important to maintain self in these matters of the heart. you have brought this malady to light beautifully in this gorgeous write.

It was not a problem.
well, we all sometimes feel lost when we loose someone dear to us and so close.
what i didnt really get was the connection that you had with the lost lover!
other than that, fantastic write!

A very sad poem. I could feel the desperation in the words. We do miss the kind and gentle people in our life. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Been there, done that...so glad you ended on a high note...never losing yourself. Relatable, sad, yet hopeful, good one Tarry.
