Old Man WinterA Poem by Tarry FranckA cold winter is making its way And it's about time The cold wind blows through my hair And sends chills up my spine, I love this weather Because where I hail from Old man winter rarely comes, So it's a pleasure To have him around He's been quite a treasure, The mild winters we have seen Means trouble for us in the summer The Gulf of Mexico Does not get cold enough And stronger hurricanes form And they pack a force so mean, So send blessings our way That during this winter We will have more cold days Because if not the Gulf waters Do not get cold enough And our summer season Could pack a punch Every year possibly Worse than what we've already seen.
