Our hearts are darkened

By your departure of our world

You were a rare gem

Like a pearl,

We loved you so much

We feel as if we've crumbled

And it's only been a short while

That you've been gone

But that's when it seems

Like forever

And yet feels like a dream,

Your return healthy we want desperately

You were such a delight

To have around

You were truly heavenly,

And yet that's now where you are

And it's hard to take

But with you again

We know we will partake,

We will play

Like we have before

And share all the games

That we so much adored.
