Addressed To The One

Addressed To The One

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I stumbled over a letter
Addressed to me
That said, " To the love of my life
Where have you been, I miss you so
Please write to me
I must let you know that it's true
You reap what you sew,
I  want to apologize for all the mistakes
I made and tell you that you are the best
Woman I've ever had
Please don't turn from me
I need you now more that I ever have."
Baby
"I accept your apology,
And want nothing more
Than to be with you
Even though physically I can't be by your side
Your love I hold deep within
And with so much pride,
We've both done wrong but
Must leave that in the past
If we are to have a future that will last,
You're the only man I've ever truly loved in my life
I can't walk away from 18 years
Just because we had a bit of strife,
That's all the part of a relationship
You have the good with the bad
Through sickness and in health
'Til death do us part
Let's grab those sentiments by the reigns
And embrace what God gave us
Me and you
Hand in hand
Love upon love
Heart to heart.

The one ... If they exist. We set our hearts out into the universe ever in optimistic hope.
A love letter indeed.

Thank you my dear friend :)
sometimes those old letters and photos are all we need to remind us of the value of what we have before us and it is not just coincidence that we find them. some other forces are at work here. what a beautiful write!

I'm not usually a fan of love poetry nor do i make the connection between it to God, but this is lovely.. I wish you all the best, truly.

Thank you
it feels like this didn't end as well as it might seem, since she is reading that letter and it is from the past.

something interfered...

Thank you :)
It's a sensitive, lovely write, I almost wish I didn't know the background story of it...it's bittersweet at best, lot of pain intertwined with that loving write. Nice one.
