Empowered

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I am empowered to confirm
My passion
For another friend
With such compassion,
I fell in love
And we remained face to face
For years
Embrace in embrace,
Flesh upon flesh
Our bodies screaming
I confess, I confess,
Finally in love
With one in the same
No reason to hide
Just because we thought
Family and friends would
Throw us into the night,
Cast us into darkness
Forever possibly
It no longer mattered
Our love will still shine
We feel freed
It's her and I
That deserved to be happy.

Sometimes the hardest thing is to throw yourself out of those lonely closet doors but I commend those who are strong enough to do so. Most Poeople don't understand because most people don't have to deal with that. Whether its true or just a simple write, nicely done

This poem screams of "two against the world". I really like the fact that even with such strong forces holding the two people bacl, they still learn to rely against one another. Eventually, people will get used to them and their happiness will show at the end. The way you put it into writing shows the strong impact of love against people's judgments. This is a really beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so very much :)
Well, a coming out if the closet. I think confessions can be helpful to polarize our pathways. We can enjoy the freedom if expression when we "confess" love.
Favorite line, "our bodies screaming, I confess, I confess,"
Love this confession.

Your quite welcome :)
Nice twists at the end. I'm glad it ended that way. I was thinking to myself ok, family angry....nah not cousins in love, hahaha. Sorry that's just me and my twisted mind. Good job here.
