Sweet Surrender
A Poem by
Tarry Franck
Haven't heard from you
In so many days
I'm beginning to wonder
If I was just a phase,
Maybe you were not
Getting the attention
You needed
Maybe you felt
The need for greed,
One was not enough
So you reached out
For another,
You knew I would fall
Drop everything
At your beck and call,
And the sad thing is
That I love you so
I would do it all over again
Anything to see you face to face
To feel your embrace
And to leave you with my trace.

how fickle and fleeting are the nuances of love. it seems we learn the same lessons over and over again in this life. i like the gentle way you presented your doubt and pain in this wonderful piece. well done.

Thank you for reviewing - Just feels like it's hanging in the balance right now.
Aw, don't blame yourself for his mistakes. It's just his loss. Then again, love is stronger than what the body can do. The poem speaks of volumes of despair and loneliness. I hope your feelings will be returned soon.

May you felt=maybe you felt?
Always sucks to love someone who doesn't love you back, think you've captured it effectively and simplistically, that love and hurt.
