Evil Bound

Evil Bound

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The hounds of hell
Are running after me
Because I have something
The damned want so desperately
The Book of Shadows
That evil should never see,
For they would use it
Negatively against whomever
They wish,
My guess would be me first
Since I have it and doing
The best to let no harm
Get in the way
We Pagan's only use it for charm,
And many other things
But harm none is what we do
Dark spells we do not cast
So the hounds of hell can
Keep chasing me
But soon what is long overdue,
An incantation we performed
For the hounds to protect us
I lured them in and complete the circle
We have just transformed them
To be under our command
And never have to suffer
Under the evil of the crack whipping hands,
And if they come to look for them
We are protected now
The hounds will retaliate
Protect us from the evil
What they thought was still his
Then realized they were unable
To get the hounds to come hither
He was unable to cross the surfaced circle
A veil between us and them
If you will
Thanks to the God and Goddess
For helping us not allowing them
To The Book of Shadows
Yet again.

This is a good spirited view on the battle between darkness and light. You portrayed a narrative and simplistic poem out of it and the ending is appropriately written. Until the next time that darkness will soon try to devise evil schemes in order to win. Thanks for sharing!

Love the comparison between good and evil and the struggle not to be quenched in it....

Book of Shadows, sounds like dangerous reading indeed. Kind of reminds me a dreamlike medieval times tale...beware. Nice one.
