March 2008

A Poem by Tarry Franck

They laid you to rest
Buried deep in the ground
That day I lost my friend
My love, my soul kin,
But in the ground
You do not reside
For your soul, your spirit
Reaches out to me
And again you are found...

Your spirit wraps around me
Like a soft blanket of warmth
That I find comfort in and within...

My heart, my soul yearns for you
To stay in my life forever
Even though I'll never physically hold you again
The days and night I did
No one can take that from me
And set those memories
Those emotions
Free.

Author's Note

Tarry Franck
Dedicated to my Soul-Kin, Cindy. Oh how I miss her so much. RIP Cindy "Lou" Calhoun.
She touched my soul like no other. And the strange this about this pic is this is almost identical to what she looked like. Very strange...but lovely at the same time.

It is evident in this piece you shared a deeply intimate connection with her and it is nice to see sorrow wound with joy. Love and loss are the hardest things we face, in my opinion, and your bravery is highlighted in this piece. I'm sure she'd be proud. This is beautiful
