The Truth

The Truth

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The bridge is burning
No way to cross
My love you are yearning
But has been forever lost,
Did it even exist
I ponder
But no matter
Far away I begin to wander,
The flames are so high
They guide my way
Through the sliver moonlit night,
I run as fast as I can
Hoping you don't figure a way
To follow me
You need to stop and realize
I'm not a part of your destiny,
My heart belongs to another
I can't express that enough
So I'm burning this bridge
To prove to you
When I say enough is enough
I speak the truth.

I love this piece, its shows that your not gonna set there and teeter of the Rickety old bride, your gonna burn it down and forget about the land once visited, Excellent!

Thank you Quin :) And yes it felt good to release it.
Good to know your places and to control your desire. I like the decision made in this poem. Hard to walk the proper road. Bad decisions lead us to bad endings. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Thank you :)
Lot of frustation, yet I feel hesitation in this write.

'I ponder
But no matter
Far away I begin to wander'

Burning bridges is always the point of no return, we have to do which bridges to take and which to leave behind. Nice write.

Dang. They just don't get it!
Sucks for both. Bridges are hard to build. Such a waste to have to burn it down.
Gotta do it though. Torch it!
