Farewell and Goodbye

Farewell and Goodbye

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Along the river edge
I sit after a long walk
Trying to comprehend what these voices have said
I ponder every thought,
Thoughts of another
Fill my head
I only want this one lover
To share my satin laced bed,
You know the one I speak of
I feel he is my destiny
He's the only one I love,
We are meant to be
I can't help but to believe
But if this love is not on my side
Then I will wish you the best of luck
Tell you farewell and goodbye.

oh my, you touch me in places.... i haven't felt that kind ot touch in years. if you were not a part of my youth, then why does it sound so? i fear we have tread on familiar paths, although in different realities. this poem is going in my faves, simply because it feels like a part of me. thank you.

A very sad poem. All farewells and goodbyes leave us wishing for a better ending. I like the story in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Sometimes the best gift we can give to ourselves and to those we love is the freedom of a sincere farewell!
