My Dear

My Dear

A Poem by Tarry Franck

My darling
My love
How I wish you were here
To enjoy the spirit
Of all the Holiday cheer,
It's just not
The same without you
By my side
I feel lonely
Empty inside,
I would give anything
To hold you
Not only on these days
But every day,
Oh how I wish
You were here for New Year's Eve
So that we could share
That New Year's magical
Embrace and kiss,
But even though you
Are there and I am here
Does not mean we can't
Start anew.

A bittersweet taste of a lonely heart.

'Not only on these days
But every day'

Loss, no matter how it comes about leaves us with that piece of ourselves missing, especially around the holidays. Well done Tarry, hope you have a wonderful New Year in spite of it all.

Thank you
Can we start new? I think it is possible. Maybe only theory, but one worth believing in.
A great poem of open, hopeful, searching.

It will happen. Nothing more than that needs to be said.

DrD I have to keep the faith. Thank you
Hope is the last emotion. Good to try to re-birth love. Very hard to do. Hard to forget the bad times. I like the positive hope in the excellent poem.
