BeckoningA Poem by Tarry FranckUpon a walk Through the foggy woods Fears have returned As I expected they would, My shadow follows Another appears from behind Is it an illusion I focus and notice That's it's another than mine, A full body apparition Could it be It had darkened the path Behind me, It's a presence I've known all too well A shadow that ensues me I wonder, attempting to cast a spell, For it tries and tries When things are going good To bring me down All the way to the hounds of hell So far that I can hear Their demonic growls, I stop in my footsteps In the light On bended knee Beckoning for this shadow To be exposed So it will no longer attempt to harm me But does not seem to be the case Forever, it seems it will oppose.
