I Miss

I Miss

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I miss that smile
Your humor that lights up a room
That sparkle in your eyes,
I miss those nightly tosses and turns
Sharing our love for one another
Our only concern,
I miss those nightly talks
JUST about our love
Hand in hand on those moonlit walks,
I miss those warm embraces
That you gave
I miss the comfort, the sensations,
I miss the scent of you
That personal essence
That only I knew,
I miss the flowers you would bring
To express your love
I miss the way you and only you
Could make my heart sing.

Filled with such beautiful sadness. There is much truth in the quote, "Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all." In reading all that you once shared and embraced, I am reminded of just that. Although elusive, love can reappear at times you least expect it. I wish you much happiness and love in the upcoming years ahead.

Thank you so much and I wish the same :)
we feel a person whom we love with all five senses and possibly even a sixth sense. therefore (and i have been to this place myself) when we are separated from that person, whether temporary or for keeps, we tend to recollect all those little things that are particular to only us...and it can hurt so deeply to miss those singularities. you have brought this phenom to light beautifully herein, well done.

Very nice piece here, when you get thinking, you realize how much you actually miss... If only certain things were forever... Thank you for sharing!

This is just lovely, and painful. Loss is never easy, but you are a master at making your feelings palpable. Beautifully written.

Thank you
We "miss" so many things and experiences... You seem to be taking about actually missing a person; a lover etc... My thoughts went to the why of it. Why do we live in this state of longing? Is it healthy to "miss"? Can we stop ourselves from being lost in this foggy lowland or should we even try. Can we choose to have all those things again; even now in our loss?
Thank you for stimulating my thoughts...
Be well.
