Beauty And FuryA Poem by Tarry FranckA misty path I follow Deep in the woods Named Hollow, Forbidden I was told But never listen I suppose, I hear sounds Never heard before But that doesn't stop my journey Onward I explore, Searching for what is forbidden Why I wonder What they want to keep hidden, Ahead of me, I see This magnificent light Coming from a fountain Alluring emerald water cascading elegantly, A wishing well it seems For there are coins tossed Assuming for hopeful dreams, Fairies with iridescent wings Flutter about As if enticing me To toss a coin of my own But there is something That leads me to doubt, Were others lured by this beauty Did their dreams come true Feeling unsure, unsafe I turn to escape For fear this path Beholds not only beauty But also an underlying fury.
