An Extraordinary Love

An Extraordinary Love

A Poem by Tarry Franck

After spending time with you
Made me realize the truth
How much more I love you,
I look at the pictures of us
So many times a day
Holding you, Kissing you
Embeds such a smile on my face,
A priceless moment
That has been long overdue
I know you are there and I am here
But I feel like with me
I took a piece of you,
I saw the man I married
And that made me want you more
It was us again
Together like before,
And like I told you
However long it takes
I will wait
For to me there is no man
That can take your place,
I have tried to move on
But we have an extraordinary love
My heart strings
Pull me back to you
That I just can't let go of,
And at the moment
Since I can't have you by my side
I promise
Alone I will reside.

there is a tinge of every little emotion i know of in this ..
love, hate, denial, acceptance, aspiration, heartbreak ... everything ...
and sadly, the point that it finishes at is not accepting the fate and the will to hold on to what was beautiful at some stage ...
may be this is stubbornness .. but tell you what ... my life has stopped right there ..
frustrating yet true ...
great work ..

Extraordinary love merits an extraordinary poem, you've done that. Simply beautiful.

Thank you
I see this poem as a profession of love but also as denial. It is heart warming and heart breaking at the same time. You cooked up a sweet n sour blend that was very palatable.
Thank you for this treat.
Be well.

Thank you
this is what's commonly known as true love. although most people never experience it, all of us are aware of it. you have captured the very essence of what love is in this charming write.
