I Ponder

I Ponder

A Poem by Tarry Franck

I sit in the darkness
And ponder about life
How mine has turned out
I've had my share of fun
I've had my share of pain
On this Earthly plane,
In another dimension I wish to go
But how far do I have to travel
To truly know,
If my existence was worth
What they say
I guess I will know
On my final day,
And after all I have been through
It just can't seem
To come soon enough,
However I don't want to feel
Like my life has been wasted
At least one more happy moment
I would like to cherish
Before I pass into the ages.

Kind of a rhetorical question...
Apparently the answers to the questions in poem is hard to find...

But anyway, my favorite lines:
"I've had my share of fun
I've had my share of pain
On this Earthly plane,"
That's really true... My teacher used to say that life is like a movie... Everyone has their own role to play...

"However I don't want to feel
Like my life has been wasted
At least one more happy moment
I would like to cherish
Before I pass into the ages."
Sounds like a swan song for me...

Nice poem..

My pleasure! :)
You are missing nothing, the other dimension is just as fucked up as this one, I love this concept its flow catches you and it takes you through your roller coaster Bravo!

I liked this message very much, Tarry. It is a bit despondent but represents a feeling many have shared. In all, an excellent read.
