I Want To Hold You

I Want To Hold You

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The waves of the ocean
Crash against the shore
That's how my heart feels
On this day for sure,
It's been a month
Since my Dad has passed
Yet it feels like yesterday
Still feeling such sadness,
My family still mourning
The loss of him
I would give anything
To have him here with us again,
Will the grieving ever stop
This truly deeply
Deeply hurts a lot,
I don't mean to sound selfish
I know he was suffering real bad
But I can't help it
I just want to hold you Dad.

A very sad poem. My dad passed on to a better place in 1996. Every Friday for 20 years. I called him. Today I wish to call him still. Some pain is good. Can't forget the good people in our life. I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Even though we know they are in a better place, that doesn't stop us from missing those that have departed this world...excellently written...
