Reassured

Reassured

A Poem by Tarry Franck

When you walked into my life
You proved you were truly a good man
Your resilience, I admired
You provided a good life for us
And thankful for that I am,
We had all we could ask for
A loving home
Fond memories
And so much more,
I'm thankful you were a part of my life
Without you it's been hard to cope
But I realize you are no longer suffering
And though it's been difficult
I'm thankful that I have finally found hope,
I have found the faith within my heart
That you are now where you must be
And I'm thankful that you are
In the embrace of safety,
Safe from all that you have endured
I know in the end of your days
It was a long, hard road for you, for us
But a sign from above
Has left me reassured.

A touching, reverend tribute writing that always is a stand-out theme for us. You have touched this with a special sensitivity that only comes when the story is true. It brings us to not only appreciate the writing but sympathize with the writer. A very nice job. I would suggest, however, that it should be "the embrace of safety" rather than the plural form.

Thank you for the kind words - that means a lot to me
Reassured is a good word. We need reassurance to become strong in a life. I like the flow of thoughts and thankfulness in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
