EscapeA Poem by Tarry FranckMy bare feet dance upon the awns As the moon shines upon my skin Darkened clouds surround your presence Ever so lightly As they too, seem to be dancing amongst you From dusk to dawn, The glistening water Approaches the river bed As I gently descend And begin to float carefree, The rippless consume All my happiness, all my sorrows They drift as far as the I can see As I ascend Looking forward to being cleansed I assume, But only to make room For more feelings To close in soon, There's no escape, long term But just these few moments when you can It means so much... Gives you a chance To stand proud Stand firm, In your mind In your physical state Thanks to the moon, the water The dusk to dawn For that moment to escape.
