Tainted SoulA Poem by Tarry FranckToday as the rain falls I disrobe and fall to my knees Holding my face in my hands The only way to tell the difference From the tears and the rain Is the salt on my lips That I could taste I kneeled for hours Amongst the earth Hoping it would consume my depression An act of faith, an act of haste, I do not know But when I realized where I was I knew something was wrong But since I was already there Felt the need to pray for the rain To cleanse this tainted soul.
