My Love For You Dad

My Love For You Dad

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Just a few words
That I need you to hear
And though it's difficult to write
As I'm shedding tears
You need to know how much
You've been and still are appreciated
Throughout all these years,
Without you in my life
I don't know where I would be
Because when I was at my lowest
You were there to lift me
And stand proudly by my side,
You entered my life at a young age
And I realize now
You took on a lot of responsibility
And for that you deserve
A great deal of praise,
We have some great times
We have some bad
And some sad
But I need you to know
You walked into my life
As my Step-Father
But I love you as my Dad,
I love you more than
These words can describe
Now it's time for me
To return the favor
And be by your side.

Life is fair. We must return the gift of love. my grandparent raised me. When they were older. They needed me. Two times a week I took them shopping and did my best to insure they had all they needed. A wise man return the gift and love shared. I like the thoughts and the very good ending in the poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Beautiful write , when love is given freely often it is returned freely when the need arises.
