A Poem by Tarry Franck

The rivers run deep
The forests run long
I look for you everywhere
To find that you have gone,
To the sky, to the sun
To the stars, to the moon
Throughout the constellations
The galaxy
And I'm in need of you
Oh, so very soon,
What else must I do
Where did I go wrong
I've searched the universe
And return empty
How long ago
Did I make the wrong turn.

This speaks to me of loss, how we take the blame upon ourselves. Whether we've lost someone to death or in a relationship, there's always those haunting questions in the end. There are very few, if any people who will escape this in life. Nicely penned. I like this a lot.

Searching for reason and answer can leave us lonely and sad. I like the description and flow of thoughts in the poem. Last line is the question most of ask in a life. Thank you for the excellent poem.
