I Give To Thee

I Give To Thee

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The darkness, yet again, has arrived
To hide my light
So I may no longer
Feel the hurt
Held deep inside,
You come to me in the day
You come to me in the night
I feel your rage
By my side,
I know you would do anything
To consume my flesh
And take my soul
After all, that is your ultimate goal,
I give myself to you
To save the hurt
You would cause to others
We are now bonded
My dark lover,
Because I know
If I don't give myself to thee
You will forever haunt me
And cause such anguish
To the ones I love
For eternity.

A interesting poem. You gave me a surprise ending. I like the flow of thoughts and the description. Hard to fight the darkness. Easy to block out the light. When we cannot see the good in a life. No weakness in the excellent poem.
