Chains of Bondage

Chains of Bondage

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Chains of Bondage

These chains of bondage
I break
And set my soul free...
The flowing blood
That resides within me,
The pain
I find too unbearable
To contain
I can no longer await
With a heart
That seems to only ache,
If love is to be so wondrous
So passionate
And so spiritual
Then I have fallen prey, the fool,
For I awaited something
That no longer awaits me
So I bury it deeply
In unfertile soil
And let the blood of my
Body and soul flow freely.

Many kind of bondage. Some allow us to taste freedom and then re-lock us in again. I like your thoughts and the flow of powerful statements.
"Then I have fallen prey, the fool,
For I awaited something"
Thank you for the excellent poem.
