Peacefully sad

just something I wrote on tumblr. :]

this is for all those beautiful times we had together

this is for the days i spent missing you

but mostly this is for myself.

It was all so perfect,

and for a moment i really thought we’d last.

It was great to have you while i did,

now it all just in the past.

those days are gone,

and we can’t get them back.

it may be different now

but nothing our friendship will lack.

i need to admit to myself

I’m sad about this happening

but I’m also peaceful,

in the LORD resting.
