I've just realized it's 3am

it started with a realization and turned into a poem...

    I just realized, I've consumed way to much Dr. Pepper in my life.

And you may say I'm weird, but to that I only have one reply.

 

    I'm the girl with more then one wife,

I like to watch the UFC and read Jane Austin in my spare time.

I still sleep with multiple stuffed animals and they all have names.

 

    When I'm on a road trip I like to memorize licence plates to pass the miles away.

And I write poems about lolipops and boys,

I still like to play with toddler toys,

especialy ones that make noise.

 

    And this all may seem weird to you, but if you knew my friends

it would seem normal for me these things to do.

 

    And if it's weird to want to fly even if I fall or to wish on planes instead of stars,

Then that's what I want to be.

 

    And if you think I'm a freak you don't have to talk to me at all.

I'll just talk ad play with my imagenary friend in my wall.

 

    If you think I'm weird I can't stop you from thinking what you've presumed.

But you know what I just realized,

I've consumed way to much Dr. Pepper in my life.

ah! exceptionally pleasing realizations there! and yes, it captures in brilliant detail the "weirdness" of you! all the quirks and contrasts; all the contradictions and traits are so endearing, and so utterly fearless! it's a verse that celebrates the uniqueness of the narrator! and a celebration it should be! the flair with which you bring out all the little edges that make us complete is captivating. its so refreshing to get the sense of someone so comfortable in their skin, someone who is able to put these quirks out in the open, without concern about fitting into "norms". it takes exceptional belief in oneself, and a sense on pride in who one it to do it! it's a captivating, endearing and refreshing verse! one to be proud of and one for the rest of us to visit everytime we begin to "edit" who we are to try and fit in - it is a brilliant reminder that we need to celebrate what makes us unique!
