the things i never say.

the things i never say.

A Poem by tarasov
"

it's writtenin past tense..sort of. but it's happening now...

"

For years I will talk to my granddaughter(s)
And say “don’t wait for him to ask”
If I had one more chance I’d let you know
I thought of you as more then a friend!

If I could only go back in time I’d
Ask if we could hang out tomorrow.
We’d get coffee and sit and talk
I’d tell you all about how I like you.

When I’m old remind me why I never told you
I want to be in love with you.
And as I lay in my death bed and say all my regrets,
Not knowing, will be one of them.

Its crazy, the things I never say.
Like “I think you’re all I need”
What made me think this way?
Think, I’m not the right one!

Am I?

ignore grammar. does it work well, is it weird that i jump from past tense to present?

nope, i like it very much. i like the part that goes "as i... say all my regrets / not knowing will be one of them"
and this is basically how i feel too, except you have more ground to say that you could think he's all you need.
but i won't bring my cowardice into it.
very nice write. :]
