Left to Decipher

Left to Decipher

A Poem by Tanya
"

In a second, something can happen, and you don't even know why...

"

Left to Decipher
My eyes are livid to my surrounding
Pondered, trying to decipher the scenes in front
Because they fly so fast
As an airplane in voyage
Trying to get in touch with their destiny
But as I gaze up above
I don’t know who they are
Or where they’re going
Because in a blink of my eye, it’s vanished
Left as fast as it came

It’s sad I have to say the same for us
You came into my heart
But never left is the only disparity
The experience was here
Alluring me for more
You, inviting me for more
But that’s the element I can’t decode
You told me you would be here
But left just as you said
I love you.

Leaving me to make sense of the swift occurrence……

Deeply effective; your poem illucidates the ethereal reality of fondness, love and romance. As you have touched upon, feelings do not fly away with love lost. They remain, a life unto themselves.

Nice poem...

Your poem is personal yet it describes a classic situation between men and women. I think you could add more to the feeling of being left behind and how your trust has been misplaced if you wanted to expand the theme. Another option is to eliminate the comparision to a fly by and try to make it more powerful with stronger expressions of raw emotion. It is good the way it is. I like the feel of innocence.
