As the water trickles, I'm in desperate need of a friend

As the water trickles, I'm in desperate need of a friend

A Poem by Tanya
"

Well, I guess you can say it's from a trees perspective....

"

As the water trickles, I’m in need of a friend
As the water trickles down my leaves
I drown in bitterness of loneliness
I sprawl my branches
Anxious for a hug from a child
Desperate for a lonesome friend

As the water trickles down my leaves
I gaze into the dazzling sun
Feel the water and breeze
I am surrounded by Mother Nature
Desperate for a lonesome friend

As the water trickles down my leaves
I don’t comprehend my solitude
It’s absurd how I came to be
Such a state shouldn’t be reached
Desperate for a lonesome friend

As the water trickles down my leaves
I discover the fallacy of my mind
I’m around people
Somehow it doesn’t seem true
Still desperate for a lonesome friend

As the water trickles down my face
I discern my true emotions
Find that not a soul really cares
I start to drown in my oblivion
Desperate for a lonesome friend

…as the water trickles down my face
I’m desperate for a lonesome friend
…One that truly cares

i liked the theme very much but the lack of meter made it jerky to read
