Footsteps

Footsteps

A Poem by Tannit

i heard the sound of footsteps
walking on my bones
with just a touch, the rivers
in my veins
began to flow
what voices now that echo
in the chambers of my heart
what faces smile to fill up
the caverns of my lungs
as you pull me faster
to spin now
with the moon
with just a touch of fingers
we can rejuvenate the soul
our eyes lit up by streetlamps
reflections in the ground
unfold the crumpled papers
before the morning calls our names
