Glory

Glory

A Poem by Tannit
"

Think ancient battles and mythic romances.

"

last night i dreamed about you
some time into the future
as the clouds began to settle
on the battles of our past
your face was traced with scars
of long remembered lessons
ev-ery thought and ambition
stood defiant in your eyes

and the blood red fields were scattered
with the bones and all the tatters
of the ancient wars.
and they cried the cry for changes
and they sung the song of ages
and you fought for glory

and the fire came down in pieces
to the beaten soil beneath us
right down to our cores.
and though i heard the sound of pain
as it echoed in the rain
i could see a new day dawning
as the sun touched on the morning
and i knew the earth was turning
as they looked up to the sky

and your eyes were bright and burning
as you took my hand in yours
to walk across the blood red fields
as you fought for glory

About
I don't know how to be anything else but what I am and though I know on an abstract level exactly who I am, I will always be unable to describe myself satisfactorily. But I can try to sum up: -I .. more..
