The liar

The liar

A Poem by Tanishka singh

It is pertinent to assume,

Your glory within you is after all

And at all ends of no use..

You sparkle you spite

Your meanings of love might all be a lie

To yourself I believe

You conquer the taste of freedom

Then for granted, you flee

What value do you bring

What obscure parts of yourself do you hide

And for how long?

Could to imagine the despise?

Oh you could, for no one cares more than you

and it is you that hates all your lies, cheats and weary displays of how you’ve gotten it all right.

To yourself you lie,

Perhaps he was right,

It is in lying you have been in far too fine.
