Promise not to fallA Poem by Mazerunner
Watching my reflection as I comb my black silhouettes
In my mind I'm lighting up to smoke a hundred cigarettes As shame rolls down the edges of my eyes I drown in the ocean of my ancient mistakes to apologize As we started I promised not to fall Even when my deeds come out upfront in the hall Looking at the clock across , questioning the end to this phase I wipe away the mirror and my face As I continue forward I promised not to fall Even if I stand alone in the battlefield I'll keep fighting with my scarred face even if I'll have to crawl © 2020 Mazerunner |
