Ancient concrete

Ancient concrete

A Poem by Mazerunner

Exhausted I put my put my mind to sleep
As the wrecked thoughts begin to creep
Factionalized roots reside under the tree I live in
But stupendously Im no branch of a tree
Rather a lone deep structure on which every soul leans

Pretending that I roam the city with my own fleet
Im only a single structured ancient concrete
They foresee strength and stability in this structure
But how much can you deface something
so hard on the outside , but no one knows when it could rupture

And finally it breaks down
Letting out wide empty space
A space that can so easily be replaced
Forgetting how much the concrete could take
If only the world thought so much
About a how a soft heart could break
