Burnt pathways

Burnt pathways

A Poem by Mazerunner

We keep walking and walking in the sun
Time passes by and you realise it favours none
Through the pathways and roadsides we took shade
All becoming a part of our journey a memory lane

And as you stop by you only see what you want to
Your tunnel vision owns you
At the end through all the burnt pathways you walked
The grass always turns out greener than in the prison you were locked
