LifeA Poem by Ocean Orchid
Missing away, The cafeteria, the rain, the campus The droplets showering your candid face Those funny folks of childhood … Songs & six strings dreams! Missing away, The juvenile you & me, The infantile trust named love, Those rainbow days of upbringing, The play fields amid balls, tops, Butterflies, hide & seek games, Missing away, That sprawling rooftop, Which resembled, the top of the sky At that tender age, Missing away … Those colorful kites We use to float in the autumn sky like a dream, Missing away, That red matchbox racing car, The first kisses We use to exchange with fervent appeal Missing away, my collection of stamps & coins, With their distinctive smells & mystic imageries In my juvenile mind, Missing away, The dust-smell-joy Of 21st February’s book fair… Missing away, That Elizabeth Arden whiff With your killing smile … Missing away My evening tea in your fav. Bone-china porcelain … Missing away, That transparent blue vase of mutual dreams, Our clustered time of happiness & sorrow....
Missing away, The journey …. Titled - “Life”. © 2008 Ocean OrchidFeatured Review
