Touching Sky

Touching Sky

A Poem by Tammy
"

"For THE ONE that reminded me there was always hope."

"

"Touching Sky”

As golden glow of day ends

where harvest touches sky,

A glimpse of gold

from sun kissed eyes

bestowed a welcome warmth,

suspended for a single breath in time.

An old soul spoke

with words unknown,

but meaning heard within.

It recited tales and woes,

no one could know,

and lover’s broken

way back when.

A whispered spark,

a flash of gold,

fell and scattered upon me then;

like a leaping flame of fire,

igniting hopes and dreams forgotten

deep within.

A gentle glow brushed over my soul,

with feathered unseen hands,

And when it passed I saw a familiar site,

that peaceful place I’d tucked away,

where the golden rays twist and bend.

It spoke of hope and how the harvest grew

throughout the cold,

tended by an unknown friend.

A man with sun kissed eyes

in shades of gold,

like the harvest touching sky.
