Life and Death of a Dream

Life and Death of a Dream

A Poem by Tamme

Deep in the night,
When sound lies still,
There are elves that play,
As pixies sing

To the starlit sky.
Songs that stimulate
The minds' of magicians
To create the dreams
And send them to others.

Out they go

      ~one~
              ~at~
                 ~ a~
                     ~time~

To anticipating souls,
Desiring to feel substance,
Only to find
Fear of the sensation.
Eyes snap open
As the spirit is aroused.
The mind is liberated
From sleeps paralysis.

And so

       ~the~
             ~dream~
                          ~is~
                               ~lost~

Heavy breathing
And the body left tingling...
One cannot be sure,
Was this nightmare
Or fantasy?

To anticipating souls
Desiring to feel substance

This line especially caught my attention, for some reason. Well written, thumbs up!

One can never be sure. The power of our dreams is an amazing thing. You've spoken well.
