Thank Goodness For RamenA Poem by TammeThese young adult years Spending cash on countless beers Left my wallet tight And nothing to feast tonight.
Now my belly moans I think of trying milk bones. I hear the door slam It's my roomate named Pam.
"Put that dog food down, And look at this miracle I foun'!" As she empties a bag With a smile she began to brag.
"They're ten for a buck, Five dollars buy the truck!" Oh my! It's Ramen Noodle The bone went back to the poodle.
"Ten for a dollar!, We'll eat like kings!" I holler The famine ended As Ramen was now befriended.
Those noodles kept us fed With not a single tear shed. Without hunger to fear There was more money for beer! © 2010 TammeReviews
