The Street

The Street

A Poem by Tamme

I visit the street

Where the spirits live
Of all who were never born...
The heart beats of a dreamer,

Some call it noise,
Not me,
As it drums up a tune

That gives rhythm to my feet

And a smile to my lips.

Around the corner...

I trip over a man.

A hobo to some,

An artist to me,
Collecting the tears

Of the woeful souls,

To save for another day,

As they become his tools.
Have you seen the impressions

He creates?
All with his finger tips.

The sorrows fall...
The emotions gently warm
With the kiss of the sun

My face is glowing,

Enchanted by the dreamer

Indulged by my artist.

I found my peace,
Lost in chaos

Wow, I am surprised that you were even experiencing writer's block after turning out a piece like this. Mark down a victory for yourself over the block. Loved the flow, the imagery, and inspiration this piece may bring. Great write and thank you for sharing!

Tamme, you've conquered the block! :-)

I love this part:

"Collecting the tears
Of the woeful souls,
To save for another day,
As they become his tools.
Have you seen the impressions
He creates,
With only his finger tips."

Nicely done!

The second stanza is my favorite too. I must pay more attention to what people do with their fingertips.

Awe jumping the hurtle. Letting your spirit be free once again.

I love this and it is a great way to over come your block.

I can so feel the power of release from your words and the vivid imagery it holds.

Beautifully Done!!!!!!
