"I <3 U"

"I <3 U"

A Poem by Tamme

How do I know your declaration is true?
How many others have heard you whisper "I <3 U"?

When you gaze at me, who’s in the back of your mind?
The girl of your dreams, the woman you wish to find...

That faultless angel lives only in your dreams
And will never make it past the morning's beams.

You say I am so very perfect as can be,
I know you've said that to more than just me.

Words that should be felt are hard to say,
Yet charming as rainbows on a rainy day.

"I love you" is so much more complicated,
Spoken once your heart is confiscated.

Use it like water and the essence runs out,
Gone unreturned no matter how you shout.

I want to hear "I love you" and know its real
Complementing this infatuation that I feel.

I loved this piece. s the world and people being the world I mean. Have come to use this phrase to often with little or no thought about it. Men and Women a like use it to get what they want from another knowing that those three words open doors that have been locked so tight that not even light of day has been seen there. I feel that you captured that very thought that it has become just words and mean less than action or proof of the intent of them. Words have power but action speak louder than words ever could.

Great Job!!!!
