Falling

Falling

A Poem by Jon

Even more than falling, in landing there's hurt
But right now I need that release
It won't be that bad to crash into the dirt
Start working to find my own peace

Fell so long ago that I got used to it
Took me as low as I've been
And for the most part I'm on my way back
Armed with the new things i've seen

There is no doubt though, that part of my mind
Has ties that it still needs to sever
If I cannot stop focussing on what's behind
Then I guess I'll be falling forever.

Very bold truth. Once again, love the honesty and vulnerability. Very nice write!

Jon, this is such an amazingly true piece, with a wonderful hidden meaning, that hits to close to home for me.
I simply loved your flow in this one, I almost get the feeling that I am falling with you through those emotions.

There is no doubt though, that part of my mind
Has ties that it still needs to sever
If I cannot stop focusing on what's behind
Then I guess I'll be falling forever.

Oh what a refreshing stanza, I think I can learn a little from this one.
Excellent write!
Thanks for sharing!
